Memahami Kembali Konsep Khilāfah dalam Sejarah Global [Rethinking the Concept of Khilāfah in Global History]

Abstract
This article examines the position of the concept of khilāfah (caliphate) in global history, which often receives a negative response from scholars and governments. Through a bibliographic survey, the authors show that the problem of war or violence in the name of religion is not triggered solely by the concept of khilāfah, but also by socio-historical and socio-political problems in Muslim countries, including the geopolitical interests of Western states.
