Abstract

The Islamic magazine Umdah (Transformasi Ilmu dengan Qalam, Transforming Knowledge with the Pen), Issue XVI, December 2017 / Rabiul Awal 1439 AH, published within the community of Dayah MUDI Mesjid Raya Samalanga, Aceh. Its cover story, "Kesesatan Pemahaman Salek Buta" (The Error of the Blind Salek's Understanding), criticizes the practice of Sufism without the guidance of knowledge of the sharia.
