Council on Foreign Relations, New York · Vol. 99, No. 1, Januari/Februari 2020; sampul · 2020-01
Abstract
The January/February 2020 issue opens the new decade with a question about the future of capitalism. The main package features Branko Milanovic on the clash between liberal capitalism and political capitalism, Abhijit V. Banerjee and Esther Duflo on how to end poverty, Joseph E. Stiglitz, Todd Tucker, and Gabriel Zucman on the undertaxed state, Miatta Fahnbulleh on the collapse of neoliberalism, and Jerry Z. Muller on the neosocialist delusion. An additional cover line refers to Fareed Zakaria's essay on the new panic about China. Other essays discuss Ukraine in the history of American-Russian relations, binding globalization, the era of great-power competition, the American health system, climate adaptation, and violence against women.
